An experienced tour leader, translator and interpreter, college teacher and mindfulness trainer, she has lived and worked in all major cities in Italy, plus in the UK, Belgium, Luxembourg and the US.
She has a passion for cinema, Argentine tango, Mindfulness and nature – and loves sharing all of that with people!
Originally from Northern Italy, she fell in love with Sicily a few years ago and  decided to be based there.  She now lives and works between Sicily and Milan – when she’s not on the road for her Mindfulness and Travel projects!
She is fluent in Italian, English and French, and speaks some Spanish and German.

Helen, a cycling guide and outdoor enthusiast who leads our bike tours. She was born in Estonia, but the moment she arrived in Siracusa, she knew she had found her place. The city’s beauty, history, and stunning coastline captured her completely. Exploring Sicily on two wheels with Helen will let you experience the island in its purest form — the scent of the sea, the warmth of the sun, and the ever-changing landscapes that make each ride unique. Helen speaks Italian, English, Estonian, and Finnish and will share her favorite coastal routes and the best spots to soak in the views, take a refreshing swim, or stop for a perfect espresso.  

Born and raised in Sweden, but has lived half her life in Italy, for the past 5 years here in Siracusa. Pernilla has a passion for urban cyclism since she was a child, and always moving more south spreading information and love for cycling has become her mission in life. She has organised bigger bicycle events such as Fancy Women Bike Ride, and dedicates her free time offering themed urban rides to the citizens. Her spirit of organisation and work-dedication contributes to our agency. Also a very active person on social media, always ready to help her Scandinavian travelers to discover Siracusa and Sicily, with the attempt to conquer the Scandinavian market!

Lisa Failla was a human resources executive in the entertainment industry for 20+ years. Event planning was central to her team-building strategy. Whether creating cooking challenges, group travel opportunities, sports teams or battle of the band events, Lisa was passionate about people having fun and meaningful experiences with their co-workers. An avid cyclist Lisa became an Italian citizen when she relocated to Sicily to discover her roots. Focusing on the English-speaking markets, Lisa introduces our offerings to individuals, families, friend groups, and corporations that are interested in exploring Sicily with us. If your tour begins in Siracusa, Lisa will be delighted to provide your orientation and welcome briefing.

As an entrepreneur and investor, he is responsible for strategic planning and provides valuable advice and expertise. Clemens is Austrian and has fallen in love with the “Maremonti Tours” project, so he has decided to actively support us. He also appreciates the tours with Iris and the invaluable knowledge he takes home with him every time.

A born and bred Sicilian, passionate cyclist and experienced bike mechanic. He makes sure our bikes are always in top shape and perfectly fitted for your ride. He also takes care of the logistics including bike deliveries and luggage transfers. During our tours he drives the support vehicle checking up on our cyclists in case they need assistance.  

Austrian by origin, Mediterranean by nature. She has chosen Sicily as her home over 20 years ago, fascinated by the history, the rough beauty and the complicated soul of the island. She has 25 years of experience in Tourism, in the last decade she has focused on active tourism, particularly cycling tourism. In 2023 she founded her own Tour Operator with Maremonti Tours. Who has travelled once with Iris, understands why she has so many repeating guests. Her guests trust her entirely when it comes to arranging a tour that suits their abilities and expectations. In her time off, Iris loves to ride her road bike and discover new routes and areas in Italy. She has organised and led Cycling Tours mostly in Sicily but also other parts of Europe. She speaks German, Italian and English. With her pronounced service orientation, Iris makes sure that your cycling tour will be a very special and personalised experience.
